KH Neochem has been supplying highly pure, structurally well-defined and homogeneous glycans that are essential for pharmaceutical development, based on its advanced organic synthesis technologies cultivated over many years. KH Neochem provides integrated services covering glycan structure design proposals, synthesis, evaluation, and scale-up manufacturing.

Glycans interact with specific cell surface receptors, and this property can be utilized to achieve delivery to target cells or tissues.

in vitro Evaluation (Galactose glycans) Uptake into HepG2 cell

Glycan modified proteins were evaluated for their intracellular deliverability by immunostaining.
Galactose glycan modified molecules are taken up into cells via ASGPR and delivered to lysosomes via early and late endosomes.
The image shows partial co-localization with the lysosomal marker LAMP1 (green), confirming that it is delivered to lysosomes to a similar degree as TriGalNAc.

in vivo Evaluation (GlycanX) Tumor-selective Delivery

Fluorescent molecules and small molecule drugs were modified with glycans and evaluated for their tumor accumulation and efficacy in in vivo studies.
As a result, GlycanX showed higher tumor accumulation than the control (comparative glycan), confirming its superior tumor-reducing effect.

in vitro Evaluation (Mannose glycans) Uptake into mBMDCs

By utilizing different glycans, selective delivery to target cells can be achieved.
Optical microscopy showed that a mannose glycan-modified labeled molecule was taken up into mBMDCs, whereas no cellular uptake was observed in the negative control.
These results suggest that mannose glycan promotes uptake into mBMDCs via DC-sign and may serve as a module that provides delivery functionality to target cells.

Guaranteed Yield

“Guaranteed yield” refers to the minimum amount delivered to the customer, representing the final yield obtained after all synthesis and purification have been completed.
The unit is expressed in “OD,” calculated from the absorbance at 260 nm measured using a spectrophotometer.
As a general guideline, 1 OD corresponds to approximately 30 µg; however, the actual mass per OD varies depending on base composition and chemical modifications.

3′ end modifications are available for 11–50 mer sequences.
